What are the differences between using HomeKit and the Xthings Home(Formerly U home) app, and can l both use them?

HomeKit enables control of your lock via Siri voice commands, the Xthings Home(Formerly U home) app, Apple Watch, etc. The Xthings Home(Formerly U home) app allows you to add fingerprints, temporary users, passwords, etc., offering additional features. 
Both can be used simultaneously.
