How can we help you?

My Smart Device cannot connect to WiFi, how do I fix it?

  • Requirements:

    1. Your smartphone connects to the 2.4GHz WiFi network (5GHz WiFi is NOT supported).

      Please ensure your smartphone and the lock use the same 2.4GHz WiFi network (WiFi name). In that case, the WiFi name will display automatically.

      If you are using iPhone, please don't choose the network with the suffix like 5Ghz.

    2. U-tec App (the latest version);
    3. Make sure the wireless signal is strong enough (-65dB ~ 0dB), or a distance within 50 feet between the device and the Wireless router is recommended.
    4. Check that your WiFi name and Password are correct.
    5. Check if the WiFi router has been connected to too many devices(normally more than 20 devices.)

    Notes:

    If you are using the dual-band router, which combines 2.4GHz and 5GHz into one SSID(WiFi Name), that means the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signals are displayed as one. The connection will default to 5 GHz unless weaker than the 2.4 GHz one. The process for it is explained in our article:
